
The Independent National Election Commission (INEC) announced that the petition seeking a recall on behalf of Senator Natasha Akpoti-uduaghan of Kogi Central Senate District failed to meet the necessary constitutional requirements.
The announcement was posted in a post shared on its official X page on Thursday, April 3.
According to INEC, the recall petition does not comply with Article 69(a) of the 1999 Constitution (Amendment).
The committee wrote on X: “The recall petition representing the district senators of Kogi Central Senate has not yet met the requirements of Article 69(a) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).
