    • Nigerian singer Logie discusses the challenges of love, fame and public scrutiny.
    • He revealed that a past relationship caused him to lose his sense of self.
    • This experience greatly reshaped his view of love.

Nigerian singer Logie opens up about the challenges he faces in love, fame and the spotlight, revealing a past relationship caused him to lose his sense of self.

In an interview with The Nation, the “Mona Lisa” star explained that the experience reshaped his view of love and continues to influence his songwriting.

“There was a time when I was deeply in love with someone but ended up losing myself,” he admits. “Love should grow you, not weaken you. Since then, I have focused on writing from a balanced emotional and conscious perspective.”

Known for his heartfelt and romantic songs, Roger also discussed dealing with the intense attention from fans, especially female admirers, and emphasized the need for personal boundaries.

“I really value that support, but I also understand the importance of limits. You can’t possibly contain all the energy. Losing boundaries can make music feel like it’s performed on a stage rather than real.” he explained.

With his debut album XOXO on the horizon, Lojay says he’s embracing a new chapter of emotional transparency, one that’s shaped by experience rather than just emotion.

“LV N ATTN is about desire, Gangster Romance is about heartbreak, and XOXO is about acceptance,” he shared. “It reflects on love, loss, healing, and choosing to love again in a different way.”

Despite his international recognition, the soft-spoken artist remains grounded, staying close to his family and staying out of the public eye when needed.

“Sometimes I just step away…no music, no social media. It’s my time to breathe and reconnect with God and the people I love,” he said.

Lojay wants his listeners to feel a personal connection to XOXO from start to finish.

“If someone listens to the album and says, ‘I’ve been through this,’ then I know I’ve done my job.” he concluded.
