Man arrested for allegedly stealing N200M worth of hair in Lagos

Detectives from the European Division in Ebute, Lagos, have arrested a suspicious traffic robber and recovered stolen goods worth 220 million yuan after police tipped the stolen tips on the CMS-Marina bridge.

The headquarters spokesman CSP Benjamin Hundeyin told news reporters on April 25, 2025 that the criminal gang stole a large sack filled with a human hair worth about 20 million, a moving 20 million vehicles without the driver’s knowledge, while the CMS-Marina Bridge was transported along the CMS-Marina Bridge.

Hundeyin said police responded quickly to the tip and arrived at the scene and successfully arrested one of the suspects when he was identified as Austine ‘M’ in the dock parking lot under the bridge, injured when he jumped from the bridge into the parking lot for evading bidding arrest. He was found possessing stolen items and had been taken to the hospital for proper medical care in the case of a closed police officer. A hunt is underway to bring the rest of its gang to justice.

Police Commissioner CP Olohundare Jimoh reiterated the command’s unwavering determination to ensure the safety of all road users across the state. He also called on residents to remain vigilant and work with security agencies by reporting any suspicious activities.
