Soldiers from Edo State Police Command arrested an Iyayi Omokaro for alleged murder of his brother Omokaro on Friday.
The 34-year-old suspect is said to have committed the crime on Tuesday, March 25.
State Commander spokesman CSP Moses Joel Yamu said in a statement disclosed Thursday, March 27 that the arrests confirmed the arrest and said the duo had made a fierce argument in front of Iyayi, hacking the dead with an angry series of cut pillars.
He said;
exist 25/03/2025 About 1530 hours, a report was received from a camp in Uzara community involving the killing of 38-year-old Omokaro. Ah, police operators and alert people arrived at the scene and recovered the victim and were identified as D3AD. The murder weapon was also discovered.”

“Preliminary investigations show that the deceased, Omokaro 38, on Friday, his brother Iyayi Omokaro 34, caused a misunderstanding that led to the fight, during which Iyayi Omokaro used Cutlass and invaded his brother D3ATH.
He added that the suspect had pleaded guilty to the crime and would receive advertisements from the court upon completion of the investigation.
