    • A worried Nigerian man has publicly advised Reno Omokri to apologize to President Bola Tinubu ahead of attending a screening of ambassadors at the National Assembly.
    • The man who shared the advice on Facebook warned that Omokri could face embarrassing moments if he doesn’t address his history of harsh criticism of the president.
    • Obinwane said it was “only right” for Omokri to apologize and criticized Omokri’s consistent behavior in public.

A Nigerian man named Charles Obinwanne has sparked a fresh controversy online after he suggested that Reno Omokri, a former aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, publicly apologize to President Bola Tinubu before attending an ambassadorial screening at the National Assembly.

Omokri was recently included in President Tinubu’s shortlist of ambassadorial nominees, a choice that drew mixed reactions from the public given his strong criticism of the president.

Obinwan shared his advice on Facebook and warned Omokri that he could face embarrassing moments if he attends the screening without first addressing his past criticisms of President Tinubu.

In his post, Obinwan emphasized that Omokri has made many harsh comments over the years that the Senate panel could use against him.

    “Apology before screening”

Obinwan wrote that Omokri “was right” to apologize before meeting with the Senate panel, saying past remarks could complicate the process.

He went on to criticize Omokri’s public conduct, describing it as inconsistent and lacking in integrity, as Omokri often spoke only when it suited his personal interests.

His message ended with a scathing comment:

“eNot even the devil will eat from the same plate as you. “ This sentence caused widespread reactions online.
