A married Illinois special education teacher is in trouble after learning she was accused of sexual assault on a teenage student. The intense human mirror shot of her arrest reveals a shocking moment when she realizes the seriousness of the allegations.
Christina Formella, 30, was placed in the back of a Downers Grove police car on March 16, crying uncontrollably. The videotape, published by YouTube channel Ape Huncho, videotapes her air gasping and crying into her cuffs’ hands.
“Oh my god. What is F-K?” She repeated, her knee pulling to her chest and swaying back and forth.

As she struggled to deal with the situation, she told the officer: “I think I’m going to vomit.” The officer quickly found a bag and towel in case she got sick.
Formella, a special education teacher at Downers Grove South High School, has accused her of harassing a 15-year-old student and taught and coached a 15-year-old student two years ago.
Investigators found clear text messages exchanged between Kongra and the boy, professed themselves in love with each other, and discussed meetings in school classrooms.
“I love you so much, baby…even if this morning was short, it was perfect.” At that time, Formella was 28 years old.

A few days after his arrest, the boy’s mother discovered the news while setting up a new phone call for her son. He then admitted the alleged relationship, which he claimed had ended, leading to police involvement.
Police stopped the vehicle in the Chicago suburbs while driving with her husband. When asked to walk out of the car, the body camera showed her looking confused.
One officer told her after confirming her identity: “You can grab everything you need.”
“What do I need?” she replied, obviously lost. Her husband, equally confused, asked, “Is she going somewhere?”
The officer simply replied, “Yes, we’ll explain everything to you,” and then put Arella in handcuffs and escorted her to the squad’s car.
She was shocked and panicked, and she asked, “Is my husband going to get into trouble with me? I’m lost now.” Officials told her that she was detained for investigation and would provide more details at the station.
In a police interview, Conrara claimed she was being blackmailed by students and insisted she was targeted for her appearance.
“She claimed one day, [the boy] “The already unattended cell phone entered her password, sent a message to herself, and then deleted their phone from the cell phone and saved it on his device as ransomware,” the court documents said.
“[Formella said] Everyone comes to follow her because she looks good, she is just a good person, she cares too much [the boy]”, according to the report.
Christina Formella, a 30-year-old Illinois teacher, was arrested in March for allegedly kidnapped a 15-year-old boy at a counseling meeting.
During Downers Grove’s arrest, Conrala’s husband was with her, and it was unknown what his wife did.

Formella was charged with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault and released on the grounds that she did not enter the school or contacted with a minor. She also took paid leave from teaching positions.
Social media posts show that Conrara and her husband, a former student-athlete at Concordia University, got married in August. She has been teaching at Downers Grove South High School since 2020 and received a teaching license in 2017.
The community remains shocked by the allegations against the once respected educators.
