Edo National Governor, Senator Okepeholo announced on Saturday that a wave of defectors is expected to affect opposition parties as the 2027 presidential election approaches.
Naija News It was reported that Okpebholo made the statement at a special reception in Ewatto, a local government area in the southeastern Ido state, following a recent victory in the election petition court.
He thanked the Edo people for their unwavering support and prayer and recognized their trust in his leadership.
The governor assured the citizens that the Edo country would experience progress and development under his government.
“The people of Edo State will not regret voting for me as governor. Today I am glad I am in a Victory Party. A party that has been rejected by everyone and has now become a party that everyone wants to join. The APC has stayed because the central government is the APC.
“Soon, there will be a lot of defections in the APC. People will move from the PDP, LP and other opposition parties into the APC, which will be the reform agenda of President South South South of South of South of South of South of South of South of South of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Today, I am happy and proud to say that I am the son of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I am also proud to say that I carry rare grace and rare transformation that I have used to transform and develop Edo.
“The words from my mouth are prophetic and I am using these words to develop the Edo state. My government is working to ensure the road of cars and reduce the travel time for our people.
“Our development also covers other neighbors, as the South has to make a sound as we approach 2027,” Okpebholo, its chief press secretary, cites Okpebholo in a statement to Naija News on Saturday Fred.
