May Edochie’s legal adviser Emeka Ugwuonye has updated the divorce case between May and her husband, actor Yul Edochie.
UGWUONYE said in a statement issued on his Facebook page that the case will be tried on February 4th today. He mentioned that the court expects to obtain feedback from the mandatory meeting of the two parties from the mandatory meeting.
He explained that according to Nigerian law, forced conferences or mandatory meetings are part of family legal procedures. The court instructed the husband and wife to seek divorce to meet with lawyers so that they could try to reach an agreement on some people (if not all), which was a controversial issue raised by the court to the court.
He said that the two sides notified that the courts were still reviewing, so the matter was after March.

DPA’s update of the divorce case of Mary YESTER YOUL
The court held a hearing today. The court’s question today is a report by the court ordered by the court.
Just explain to those who are unfamiliar with the law. The mandatory conference or forced meeting is part of the family legal procedures under Nigerian law. When the husband and his wife appeared in court to divorce, the court was responsible for instructing the party and his lawyer to meet and hold a meeting between the two sides. The purpose of this meeting is to give the parties a chance to try to reach a controversial issue in front of the court (if not all). Successful meetings will solve some problems. For example, the two sides may reach a consensus on how to share their marriage property. Everything they agree will convey it to the court through the meeting report. If they disagree, they should also inform the court. If they do not agree, the court may ask them to go back to hold more talks.
The case was proposed last time that the party notified the court that the party did not submit the report. This means that their discussions are not conclusive, or they cannot reach an agreement. The court gave them time to introduce their report. That’s what it is today.
Today, after hearing the difference between the parties, the court gave them more time to hold another meeting to see if they would agree to anything. The hearing will continue in March, and the court is expected to receive a report at the next hearing, or it is clearly stated that the parties fail to reach an agreement on anything. This will guide the court to set the trial direction.
This update is only an objective summary of the current state of this case. This is not to present the vision of any side. We provide this report to avoid answering questions about the current position of the case.
Note: Judy’s intervention in this case was just because she was accused of adultery with Mr. Edochie, and she knew that Yul Edochie was not qualified to marry another woman When he claims to marry him.
Thanks. ”
