Mbeumo apologizes after Man Utd’s painful failure in Etihad

Manchester City beat rival Manchester United 3-0 on Sunday, with Erling Haaland scoring twice in the opening game at Etihad Stadium.

The result made Pep Guardiola’s side lift the defender league defeat in time, while putting more pressure on co-man Ruben Amorim, who now only scored four points from the first four games.

Manchester City started to be strong and made a breakthrough in 20 minutes. Jeremy Doku’s persistence on the left led his cross to find an unmarked Foden home.

After restarting, Hyland extended the advantage by trademark, racing clear before calmly lifting the ball up Altay Bayindir. A moment later, the Norwegian turned down the opportunity to open when he bypassed the goalkeeper, but hit the game, keeping the unification weak in the game.

The outstanding moment of debuting Gianluigi Donnarumma shreds any hope of response, who went all out to grab Bryan Mbeumo’s volley to maintain the city’s two-ball mat. A few minutes later, Harry Maguire misplaced the pass to free Bernardo Silva of Haaland, who stressed the end to seal the points.

The victory put the city behind leader Liverpool’s six points, but restored momentum to fixtures for Naples and Arsenal before a demanding week. It was another disappointing derby day for Manchester United, with fans expressing frustration at Amorim’s frustration as the ode of “morning fired” is separated from the road.
