Arsenal Football Club manager Mikel Arteta praised his players after improving his UEFA Champions League performance against Real Madrid.
Mikel Arteta spoke at a post-match press conference after the match, confirming he is confident that Arsenal will win against Real Madrid.
He said
“That’s the guy who invented the sport. He’s never got a free kick, we haven’t gotten once since September 2021. We scored 2 points in 12 minutes tonight. What he did is incredible. I’m very convinced that we can beat them. Declan has never gotten free kicks in his career and we’ve never scanned a direct free ball since 20211.”
Arteta also confirmed that despite being replaced in the game, Bukayo Saka is not wrong.
“Bukayo Saka didn’t get any serious injuries. He’s fine, I think it’s a kicker”
Arsenal will hope they can stop Real Madrid from hosting one of the greatest comebacks in Champions League history, thus reaching the semi-finals of the match.
