
The Ministry of Defense headquarters has confirmed the arrest of four collaborators in the northeast for terrorist operations.
Major General Marcus Kanger, director of Defense Media Operations, made a disclosure in a statement Friday, May 2, 2025, saying the arrested collaborators included two personnel from the mixed forces who worked with the troops to fight the rebellion.
He said that during operations in the Bama, Kukava and Madagali local government areas from April 26 to 29, the troops intercepted four terrorist logistics suppliers, two of which were identified as members of the hybrid force.

In another operation, Kanye said the troops carried out offensive operations with the mixed forces, including combat patrols, raids and clearance missions – in the Gwoza, Dikwa, dikwa, bama, bama, chibok, Gujba, Gujba, Geidam and Yunusari local government areas.
He added that during the operation, several terrorists were neutralized and six kidnapped victims were rescued, weapons, ammunition, motorcycles and bicycles were recovered.

Kanney reiterated the armed forces’ commitment to protecting national security and urged citizens to remain vigilant and share reliable information with security agencies.
He stressed that although some operational details must be maintained for security reasons, the military is still focused on defeating terrorism, robbers and other criminal threats to ensure the safety of Nigerians.
