A nine-month-old pregnant woman, Dorathy Opus, disappeared on Friday, February 7, 2025 and has been found alive.
She found her at 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 12 at the young roundabout in Harcourt, where her kidnapper abandoned her after forcing a child and taking the baby away.
Dorathy is currently receiving medical treatment at a hospital in Port Harcourt.
According to her sister, she left home on Friday afternoon with her cell phone, charger and wallet and told her son that she would be back soon. However, she never came back and her whereabouts remain unknown.
According to neighbors, Dorathy appeared for the last time at UPE Bus Stop, where she boarded her commercial vehicle on her destination while waiting for the kidnapping.
Authorities are now investigating the case and are working to find her missing baby.
The incident has attracted attention as Nigerians fear that the kidnappers now only target pregnant women to bring babies.
