Abdulmumuni Abiola, son of the late Mko Abiola and Kudirat Abiola, said former military president Ibrahim Babangida regretted the abolition of the presidential election on June 12, 1993.
Speaking in an interview with Arise News on Friday, Abdulmumuni noted that Babangida acknowledged Abiola’s victory and his remorse for the abolition confirmed the long-term facts about the election, according to Arise TV.
He stressed that Babangida admitted his victory over his father, even though he had always known the truth. Even at the age of eight, he recalled that the election happened.
