After being wrongly accused of kidnapping, 16 travelers were brutally killed in the Udion Efadien community in Edo State on Thursday.
A mob killed 16 travelers on the spot by a fatal assault on false charges. Their vehicles caught fire, and some of their bodies were trapped inside. Others were reportedly dragged into the flames.
Security agents responded to the distress call, but it was too late to prevent the murder. However, four survivors were rescued and taken to his grace hospital in Uroki for medical treatment.
As the investigation continues, authorities have confirmed the arrest of five suspects in connection with the attack.
