On Saturday, May 3, more than 2 million people gathered at Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro to watch Lady Gaga’s largest concert ever and one of the most popular concerts in history. The city of Rio has provided funding for free exhibitions as part of a plan to promote tourism and strengthen the local economy. Officials estimate the event could bring as much as $100 million.
The concert marks Lady Gaga’s return to Brazil after more than a decade of return, her last performance in the country dates back to 2012.
