An Indiana woman and her two children were arrested after allegedly attacking an eighth-grade student on a school bus, an incident captured in a shocking video.
Latea Hentz, 36, was accused of boarding a bus and assaulting students along with her 17-year-old daughter and 13-year-old son, who claimed they were bullying her son. The disputed footage shows that the three threw punches multiple times, and one of them shouted at the victim to avoid touching their son again. Students on other buses can be heard begging them to stop, but the attacks continue until they land several times.
Hunts told police that the student had harassed her son for weeks and the school had no intervention, according to local reports. She claimed that the day before the attack, the student photographed his son.
Authorities said the victim was taken to the hospital and doctors determined that he had a fractured nose and swollen left eye.
Hentz is charged with several felony counts including criminal confinement, a fort, resulting in moderate injury, intimidation and criminal trespass. Her child also faces undisclosed charges. Hentz did not respond to the incident.
