Gospel singer Frank Edwards revealed that his mother had blocked him from signing a $320,000 deal that would have put group control over his music catalog.
Edward explained that his mother warned him not to sign the deal and confiscated his international passport to prevent him from finalizing it.
Speaking through social media posts Edwards said he didn’t understand his mother’s reasoning, but he began to appreciate her insights since then.
He mentioned how she gave him ₦150,000 Naira to start the studio, and her intuition proved to be correct.
The singer expressed her gratitude for her mother’s selfless love, guidance and firm support.
He thanked her for being a source of wisdom and strength, always providing guidance and protection.
Edwards wrote: “Thank you for everything, this space is not enough to write about you. Thank you for your impenetrable firewall! Thank you for telling me about God’s thoughts because you really heard from God that your words don’t fall on the ground.
“For the first time in my life a few years ago, I was going to complete a $320,000 deal from a group that owns almost my entire directory.
“You said no! I quoted you.” The 150,000 Naira gives you a job opening the studio is more than that, just take a moment. They are not God.
“You actually took my international passport away from me just to make sure I didn’t go through the deal and I laughed because I didn’t need to travel to close it, but I listened to you!
“After you said I was thinking that 150,000 naira is greater than $320,000. But now I get it.
“There are so much to say! But like I said. This space is not enough! Happy Mother’s Day!!!”
