
Justice SM Shuaibu of the Kano Federal High Court has been convicted and sentenced makeup artist Abdullahi Musa Huseini (also known as Amuscap) to six months in prison for abuse.
He was sentenced to jail for one vote of abusive and dismemberment to the bordering Naira.
The charge reads: “That you, Abdullahi Musa Huseini, on the 6th day of December, 2024, at Ali Jita Event Centre, Kano, within the jurisdiction of this Honorable Court whilst dancing during a social event tampered with the sum N100,000.00 (One Hundred Thousand Naira) in 1000 notes denomination issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria by spraying in the said occasion and you thereby committed an offence and punishment for violations of Article 21 (1) of the Central Bank Act of 2007.
After the arraignment, Hausini pleaded guilty to the charge, prompting prosecutor Zarami Mohammed to present the facts and evidence of the case to the court.
To make a judgment, Judge Shuabu found him guilty and was charged and sentenced to him to six months in prison without the option of fine.
The criminal was arrested after spraying Nigerian currency in his own wedding celebrations and involved intentional dismemberment of Nigerian currency.
The investigation shows that Huseini deliberately defaced and abused Naira’s notes because they violated the EFCC’s warnings and campaign against actions.
