Controversial Nigerian singer Naira Marley made headlines again, this time after allegedly filing a legal petition to popular Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo.
According to reports circulating online, especially from gossip blog Citie Juls, the petition led to Iyabo Ojo being summoned by police authorities in Abuja.
Why Naira Marley is coming to iyabo ojo
Naira Marley’s legal team reportedly filed a petition accused Iyabo Ojo of allegedly saving the singer from false statements.
The legal team claims fake social media accounts allegedly linked to Camp Marley were used to push Iyabo Ojo’s narrative of apology to the singer. The messages were allegedly sent to various blogs, depicting a false settlement.
Although official police confirms that it has not surfaced, the gossip blog claims that the singer’s team is pursuing legal compensation to allegorize defamatory and misleading claims related to Iyabo Ojo’s position during their Mohbad Death Saga.
This development follows the ongoing consequences of the mysterious death of singer Mohbad in 2023, a case that has aroused national anger and seen the public accused of alleged harassing the late singer.
Iyabo Ojo is one of the celebrity voices who strongly advocated justice in the aftermath, and has been calling Marley and his colleagues on social media.
Meanwhile, a new report also claims that Mohabad’s father, Joseph Aloba, took legal action against Naira Marley, accusing him of withdrawing from previous commitments related to the singer’s property or legal matters.
