Senator Natasha marked the Senate moratorium as illegal.
The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and the Opposition said the Senate decision was unfair.
Natasha’s legal counsel Victor Giwa said the Senate’s disobeying the court’s regular orders and the suspension is invalid.

Senator Natasha Akpoti-uduaghan responded to the suspension of the six-month ban.

The pause was due to her confrontation with the Senate President, and God’s Will Akpabio was because her sitting position changed from the second line to the last line to the last line of the indoor sitting structure.

Kogi Central Senator opposed the report on the suspension of the proposal by the Senate to interrupt the plenary meeting yesterday. Hearing her say, “This injustice against me will not be maintained. I will fight it.

However, the House ordered her to exit and she was accompanied by sergeant personnel.

Victor Giwa, working with legal counsel, revealed that the Ethics and Privileges Commission adopted a court order that allegedly restricted the Senate from taking further litigation on the matter, pending a motion to notify.

Giwa argued that the senator had sought legal intervention and that her suspension was invalid until the court otherwise.

“The suspension is invalid and cannot even take any effect. The suspension is illegal because there is a court order that restricts further action from the Senate Ethics and Privileges Committee.

The committee disobeyed a valid court order that mocked the chamber where the law should be maintained. ” said Giva.

Similarly, Kogi’s report responded to the Senate’s decision, which on its page entitled “Natasha’s suspension: Can we conclude: Does the Nigerian Senate have no court-ordered greetings?”

The report argues that the court has issued clear instructions in the case of Natasha and Akpabio. The court insisted that the court had ordered the committee to stay away from the matter because it had been heard in court.

It further revealed that the Senate blatantly ignored the court order and raised questions about the integrity and ethics of the Senate Ethics and Privileges Committee. It also questioned whether their actions deserve simulation.

The Nigerian Bar Association and other opposition parties also spoke verbally about the Senate’s decision, pointing out that the moratorium on her recommendations against her did not comply with the legal order.

    Senate opposes Natasha’s Senate’s seven-point recommendation

The Senate did suspend Senator Natasha Akpoti-uduaghan for six months as she completely violated Senate regular rules and brought public lawsuits to the entire house.
Natasha Akpoti-uduaghan’s moratorium will come into effect on March 6, 2025, prohibiting her from conducting all legislative activities.
Senator Natasha will file a written apology to the Senate before the Senate is suspended to reduce or lift the House.
Senator Natasha’s office will be locked during her suspension and she will hand over all Senate materials and property to the house clerk.
Senator Natasha will be seen or found within the National Assembly (including her staff).
Her salary and allowances (including those of legislative assistants) were suspended and all security details were revoked to her during her suspension.

Senator Natasha was banned from representing herself locally and internationally in various forms as a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. ”

The report was signed by all 14 (14) members of the Natasha Committee and was signed by Senator Neda Imasuen (LP, Edo South) on the floor of the Red Room, the chairman of the committee.
