Nigeria News Nalin It was reported that Senator Natasha Akpti Udoagen, who represents Kogi Central, warned that Unoma, the wife of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, has avoided allegations of sexual harassment and intimidation against her husband.

Recall that lawmakers earlier accused Akpabio of sexual assault on her, stressing that her motion was rejected because she refused to succumb to the Senate president.

The Koge-born senator filed charges on Friday about questions about the Arise Television Morning Show.

Responding to the allegations while speaking to journalists in Abuja on Friday, Unoma said Natasha was damaging her husband and “creating content for personal achievements”.

She described the allegation as a derogatory, adding that Akpabio and Natasha’s husband are very good friends.

The Senate president’s wife described her husband as a disciplined and happy person who is often misunderstood.

However, in a letter dated March 1, 2025, through his attorney Victor Giwa, Natasha advised the wife of the Senate president not to participate in the matter.

The letter, titled “Farewell to the sexual harassment and intimidation allegations of Sen. Natasha Akpoti-uduaghan against Sen. Godswill Akpabio; to protect your sanity and family sanity.

The MP said she endured Akpabio’s harassment and was forced to speak out, adding that she had enough evidence to support her claims.

Letter reading “Our client does not want to bring you into the unfortunate legend of her allegations against the Senate President and want you to limit yourself to research the obscene environment. Although she tolerate all harassment by the Senate President, she is confined to the hands of the Senate President to reveal the unfortunate torture and victimization she experienced in the Red Room.

“So, we want to point out that the allegations of our clients are personal to the Senate President, and our clients believe that the Senate President has the ability to defend himself and dismiss any allegations against him.

“Our client has concrete evidence to confirm her allegations. We recommend that you defend the Senate President’s allegations that you maintain your sanity and family.

“Our clients remain firm in defending Nigerian women, who, as a housewife, will continue to maintain our shared heritage and family values.”
