    Nelfund paid 2 billion to 192,906 students, clarifying the payment report

    • NELFUND paid more than 20 billion Dutch shields to the country’s major and tertiary institutions.

    • The fund benefited 192,906 students, and the other 12 billion Dutch Shield was 169,114 students.

    • Nelfund clarified that the report of 1004 billion Dutch Shields was inaccurate.

    The Nelfund Fund (NELFUND) announced that it has paid an institutional fee for more than 20 billion Dutch Shields to the country, which has benefited 192,906 students.

    In a statement issued by its management in Abuja, Nelfund solved extensive misunderstanding of the total amount paid.

    “As of February 3, 2025, NELFUND received a total of 364,042 student loan applications. So far, the fund has paid a total of N20,074,050,000 institutions, which has benefited 192,906 students from various tertiary institutions.”

    In addition to tuition, the fund also provides financial support for students’ maintenance and paid more than 12 billion Dutch Shield allowances.

    The statement added: “Nelfund has paid N12,818,960,000 to 169,114 students, and each student gets N20,000 allowances per month.”

    Nelfund paid N11662 billion US dollars of student loans and received a budget approval of N584.4 billion US dollars

    As of January 1, 2025, student loans from all over the country have paid a total of 176,252 beneficiaries.

    Akintunde Sawyer, managing director of NELFUND, disclosed the information at the pre -budget defense meeting of the National Parliament joint agency and the Tetfund joint committee.
