    • Senator Ned Nwoko, a businessman and estranged husband of actress Regina Daniels, has been in the spotlight due to marital tensions.
    • A widely circulated video showed Nwoko addressing the National Assembly, highlighting the significant economic damage suffered by Nigeria.
    • His comments sparked widespread discussion about the country’s economic conditions and governance.

Senator and businessman Ned Nwoko, the estranged husband of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has sparked widespread discussion amid ongoing tensions in their marriage.

A widely circulated video captured the Delta North lawmaker during a session of the National Assembly, where he expressed concern over what he described as one of the biggest cases of economic loss in Nigeria’s history.

In his speech, Nwoko revealed that more than $300 billion in crude oil proceeds remained unaccounted for. His statement follows the submission of an interim report by the Senate Select Committee on Crude Oil Theft, which he chairs.

The report noted that billions of dollars in oil revenue could not be traced between 2015 and 2024, attributing the shortfall to systemic theft, weak oversight and institutional inefficiencies.

Presenting the findings, Nwoko blamed the ongoing losses on inadequate measurement systems, sabotage within the oil industry and poor coordination among regulators.

His fiery speech quickly gained traction on social media, with many Nigerians commenting on the video, drawing parallels between his political revelations and the turmoil in his personal life.

    Watch his speech below:

    Netizen reaction:

@miyaskigram: “They say Trump wants our natural resources, my fellow Nigerians ask yourself, which natural resource are you not benefiting from?”

@hausabaddie: “None of this was planned to work 😂.”

@michael_____001: “There is always a hidden legend, reading comments but never commenting, hello boss, how are you family.”

@chidera_idiagbo: “So he was talking at home, why wasn’t he heard talking when Abiy’s marriage restricted him?”

    @chiefexecutivelifestyle: “That’s 80% of Nija’s GDP 👏 🤦‍♂️.”

@bondgrounded: “Baba is here to solve important problems for the country😂😂.”

@aiva.the.influencer: “Who’s letting this guy sit so they can’t see him doing Regina?”

@princ_enico: “Look at money Jesus Christ.”

@kc_ebu: “Peter Obi don’t tell Una that no one can steal crude oil without direct or indirect government support.”

@jemiswt: “Funny how they try to paint him as nice to the public 😂😂😂.”

@kii_ra0 “Dad uses his phone to make souvenirs for his in-laws 🙌🙌.”

@iyanuoluwabm1: “No, this man’s actions got a pass…he didn’t say anything but his actions choked a family.”

@itstomsena: “Oga Ned, I didn’t sleep last night, oo Abeg help me ask your wife if I’m fit to sleep now?😢😢.”

@bastuglobal: “If your father was a Naija politician, e would turn red for you! Some una would go from 100 to 0.”

@miyaskigram: “They say Trump wants our natural resources, my fellow Nigerians, ask yourselves, what natural resources are you not benefiting from?”

@ogalegend1: “Oga freed the little boy..”

@enny_darling: “Dear hon., fix your home! Only then can you lead us! Please ask respectfully, sir! A sitting senator with all these accusations! Your “wife” is crying about SM! Fix it and come back and address us.”

@linus_grace52: “$300 billion in oil and gas, Nigeria is still struggling, borrowing money everywhere, God help this country.”

@iamoseroland: “Look, no one is saying Gina should go back to that marriage. Assuming I were a mother, would I let my daughter, son or even myself drag and beat a man online like this? In such a der0gat0ry way, hurting his self-esteem, not just any man, a man in power? Come on…” Nigerians let go of their emotions and think for once. Does d media solve any problems? 🤷🏽‍♀️ d mom is posting, d kids are posting, friends, etc. instead of sitting down and having a proper peace talk. When I say peace talks, I don’t mean “go back to the marriage,” I mean, that’s already happened, so what’s the way forward? That’s the point of it. “

@talk2kaycee: “Charity starts at home, Mr. Senator, we are not moved by this riddle.”
