Nigeria Immigration Service launches new website for foreign residents’ licenses

The Nigerian Immigration Agency will open a new digital platform on August 1 to apply joint foreign resident permits and alien cards.

This was included in a statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday by Service Public Relations Official and Assistant Comptroller of Immigration.

Akinlabi said this development is in line with federal efforts to reform NIS and improve the efficiency, transparency and accessibility of its services.

He said the new portal is accessible at https://cerpac.immigration.gov.ng, aiming to enable applicants to submit CERPAC applications online without physical forms.

According to him, the use of physical Cerpac forms will be stopped from August 1.

“All CERPAC applications after July 31 must be submitted only through the online portal,” he said.

A NIS spokesman noted that the digital transition is designed to improve the user experience and ensure a seamless application process for individuals and companies to organize immigration responsibilities for expats.

Akinlabi recommends that applicants who have paid but have not submitted the CERPAC form do so on or before July 31 to avoid loss of status and related payments.

“Likewise, it is strongly recommended to complete all procedures in the prescribed timetable to avoid any inconvenience.

“Any forms not submitted by the deadline will be rendered as invalid and invalid.

“All inquiries and communications related to this transition shall be directed to the service through the Public Relations Office.” He said

However, he reiterated his commitment to service to provide more effective and technology-driven immigration services in line with global best practices.
