Minister of Power Adebayo Adelabu met with Egypt’s ambassador to Nigeria Mohammed Fouad to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in energy expansion.
The partnership aims to improve Nigeria’s energy sector, especially in rural electrification and renewable energy, with Egypt sharing its expertise and best practices.
The Nigerian federal government expressed its desire to learn from Egypt’s expertise in power generation and communications and described the country as a role model for the industry.
This is known at the latest meeting between the Minister of Power Adebayo Adelabu and Egyptian Ambassador to Nigeria Mohammed Fouad.
Adelabu praised Egypt’s achievements in the energy sector and noted: “Egypt has made significant progress in energy transformation and we are eager to collaborate and learn from your expertise. Our goal is to ensure reliable, stable and affordable access to energy for all Nigerians.”
He also highlighted Nigeria’s efforts to connect remote rural areas through renewable energy programs.

Fouad expressed the enthusiasm for Egypt to work with Nigeria, especially to close the metrology gap and share best practices in energy access.
He stressed the common goal and mutual interest of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, saying: “Nigeria and Egypt have a lot in common and have great potential for cooperation in the energy sector. We are committed to providing sustainable energy solutions to both countries.”
FG, State, LGS Share ₦1.678Trn February Revenue, FAAC Conference
The Federal Account Allocation Commission (FAAC) shared a sum of $1.678 trillion, representing federal account revenues for February 2025, and shared with federal, state and local governments.
Revenues were allocated at the FAAC meeting in Abuja in March 2025, chaired by the Minister of Finance and Minister of Economic Coordination Wale Edun.
