Super Hawks head coach Eric Chelle appointed the same XI in the World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe as he played in rwanda Clash.
Stanley Nwabali retained his place in the goal, with the last four being Ola Aina, Calvin Bassey, William Troost Ekong and Osayi-Samuel. The midfield trio included Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi and Samuel Chukwueze, while Ademola Lookman, Victor Osimhen and Moses Simon were appointed forward players.
Osimhen hopes he will be in the same form against Rwanda in Kigali, which is his highest score for Nigeria. The match between Nigeria and Zimbabwe will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.
The match is a must-win for Nigeria as they can’t bear any victory after they’ve performed poorly in the opening three matches of the World Cup qualifiers. The Super Eagles are currently fourth with six points after four games behind South Africa, the Republic of Benin and Rwanda in one win and three games respectively.
