Nigerian national who attacks men with hammers in Poland will not serve his sentence because he is taking drugs
A 21-year-old Nigerian national has not been jailed after attacking a man in a gym in Katowes, Poland.

The Nigerian was identified as Princewill Dominic, who attacked the 23-year-old victim in February 2025 with a 20kg sports hammer.

Dziennik Zachodni News Portal quoted that police arrived immediately and arrested Dominic, who was “very excited and radical”.

Six police officers reportedly arrested a Nigerian man and the victim was taken to hospital for treatment.

According to sources, “The Katowice Poludnie District Attorney’s Office “decided to suspend the investigation into the Dominic murder.”

The man was attacked was able to escape the blow of a hammer used by Dominic, causing injuries to his upper back and “destroy his health for less than seven days.”

The Nigerian man was detained for three months but has since been released.

The prosecutor’s report noted that since “he was unable to acknowledge the meaning of the bill and guide his actions (…), there has been no crime because he completely canceled his sanity when he was acting.”

The court said the fact that the man was taking drugs drove him legally crazy, meaning he could not be tried for his actions.
