    NNPC signs gas supply agreement with SSONIC Petroleum at LNG plant

    • NNPC has signed a gasoline sales and procurement agreement (GSPA) with Ssonic Petroleum Ltd.

    • The agreement involves 80 million cubic feet (MMSCF) of natural gas supply to liquefied natural gas (LNG) in Ssonic Petroleum in Lagos State every day.

    • The agreement aims to promote domestic gas utilization for Nigeria’s industrial and economic growth.

    Nigeria National Petroleum Co., Ltd. has signed a natural gas sales and purchase agreement (GSPA) with Ssonic Petroleum Ltd. through its natural gas marketing subsidiary and partners to supply gas to the company’s proposed liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the Lekki Free Trade Zone.

    According to a statement by the company’s spokesman Olufemi Soneye, the agreement was signed as part of an effort to ensure Nigeria’s energy security.

    Under the terms of the agreement, NGML-NIPCO UJV will provide 80 million standard cubic feet (MMSCF) of natural gas to the Ssonic Petroleum LNG plant every day.

    The state-owned oil company said: “The supply agreement is part of NNPC Ltd’s efforts to increase domestic gas utilization of the country’s industrial and economic growth and promote gas use as a cleaner, cheaper, and greener fuel to reduce global warming.”

    FG Mobile pays NNPCL 7.7 billion guild fuel subsidy debt

    The Nigerian government has confirmed its plan to owe Nigeria National Petroleum Co., Ltd. (NNPCL) 7.74 trillion yuan of fuel subsidy debt.

    From June 2023 to September 2024, debt is the exchange rate difference.
