The National Petroleum Corporation of Nigeria (NNPCL) strongly refutes its lower quality automotive spirit (PMS) compared to the premium sports spirit (PMS) produced by the Dangote refinery.
Viral video shows a content creator claims that NNPCL fuel is not as long as Dangote gasoline.
However, in a statement signed by its chief corporate communications officer Olufemi Soneye, NNPCL called the claim “misleading, false, unfounded, and totally unfounded”.

The company stresses that its fuels have been carefully formulated to ensure optimal efficiency, durability and environmental sustainability for consumers.

With the inadequate supply of NNPCL, Dangote refinery imports crude oil
Dangote Petroleum Refinery will import crude oil raw materials due to insufficient supply from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPCL).
The refinery has increased its production to 500,000 barrels per day (BPD) with a target of 650,000 bpd by June 2025.
