Former Sokoto governor, Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, downplayed the wave of political defection in the northwest Nigeria, showing that they were inspired by personal interests rather than the well-being of the people of.

Tambuwal urged the opposition to unite and develop strategies ahead of the 2027 elections to provide viable alternatives to Nigerians.
“There is nothing appealing to APC except for personal interests. Those of us who believe in this country and serve the people must unite to ensure that by 2027, we will evacuate the failed government of Nigerians,” he added.
