- Victor Osimhen has settled his dispute with football analyst Bi Bernard.
- The disagreement emerged after Nigeria’s victory over Mozambique at the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations.
- A tense on-field exchange between Osimhen and teammate Ademola Lookman attracted widespread public attention.

Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has addressed his recent feud with football analyst Be Bernard, days after their disagreement erupted on social media.
The impact came after Nigeria defeated Mozambique in the last 16 of the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations. During the game, Osimhen had a tense on-field exchange with teammate Ademola Lookman, an incident that quickly attracted public attention and dominated the post-match discussion.
Bernard later weighed in on the situation, criticizing Osimhen’s reaction and calling it unnecessary. After his comments attracted attention online, the analyst revealed that the Napoli striker has blocked him on Instagram.
A visibly frustrated Bernard posted a video questioning why Osimhen had reacted so strongly and insisted his comments were just fair and professional criticism.
However, in the latest update shared on January 8, 2025, Bernard confirmed that the misunderstanding between the parties has now been resolved.
He explained that the settlement was reached through the intervention of former Super Eagles midfielder Ogenyi Onazi and popular comedian AY, who had reportedly been in private contact with the two.
Bernard said they were encouraged to put the issue behind them in the interest of unity, especially with the Africa Cup of Nations still underway.
In a video posted on Instagram, Bernard revealed that Osimhen unblocked him and also followed him, indicating that the matter had been resolved.
He added that they had a calm discussion in the early hours, with both sides sharing their views.
“We are cool now. Osimhen and I talked this morning. Everything has been resolved. Hats off to Onazi and AY They made it happen,” he said.
Bernard further noted that the conversation helped him understand that Osim had been receiving pressure from different directions, which may have affected his early reactions.
