Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde condemned the country’s hardships, which were caused by the economic policies of the federal government.
Naija News Governor Makinde pointed out that fuel prices and food costs continue to rise every day, increasing difficulties for citizens and families, the report said.
In a newsletter on Saturday, Makinde said many families were exhausted due to the burden imposed by hardships.
“No sugar coating: It’s hard. Fuel prices rose again. The daily necessities feel out of reach. I know that for many people, every morning, they start counting from what can be stretched, what must be cut, what must be waited for. It’s a tired burden, too many Nigerians are carrying it. ” He said.
The governor of Oyo State urged Nigerians to stick with it and pointed out that the tough times will end. Makinde assured Nigerians that they will overcome the current difficulties of the country.
“But in such a moment, I want to remind you of a simple but powerful truth: hard times do not last, but difficult people.
“And Nigerians are tough. We survived, hardly did, and turned scarce into creativity. We built dreams from dust and the most unexpected places.
“This does not deny your painful message, or pretending that the courage alone will solve all problems. No! Remind us that even in the storm, we are not powerless.
“We are people who know how to adapt. We know how to work hard. We know how to keep up. And, beyond that, we know how to focus on each other,He said.
He promised that his government would continue to make things easier Oyo State.
“As far as we are concerned, we continue to find ways to make it easier for our people. In February 2025, Oyo State ranked third in the country in food inflation. This can be related to all activities in the agricultural sector last year. We are working to make sure that this is still the norm, not the exception,He added.
Makinde further urges Nigerians to express compassion with each other. He stressed the need to share love and maintain charity.
“So, if you are tired today, please take a break. But don’t be discouraged. If possible, please be kind. Be kind to yourself and others. It’s more important than you think.
“When you feel you can’t see a road, remember: There are still good people in this country. Work quietly around the corner, create solutions, build things, serve others. You are not alone.
“Let’s choose faith over fear. Let’s stick to what makes us human: love, laughter, real hope. Let’s continue to believe that it’s better because it’s possible to do so.
“A very soon, this moment will pass. When doing so, we are not only survivors, but people who refuse to give up on ourselves or each other.
We are strong. We will not be broken,He came to the conclusion.
