The Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Forces (NSCDC) Plateau State Command intercepted a man who allegedly owned a gun at a church site in the Bokos local government area.
Sources told security analyst Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 20, 2025, when NSCDC combatants took intelligence to arrest the suspect during a regular security patrol around the church’s compound.
“The suspect was found possessing a firearm and could not provide any satisfactory explanation or legal documentation for this. The swift action of our operators helps prevent possible escalation into serious security breaches,” the source said.
The identity of the suspect has not been disclosed until the conclusion of the preliminary investigation.
