    Nursing student beats cancer, graduates with top grades, tops nursing exams

    Odumeru Ameerah is a resilient nursing student who made an inspiring return to academia after taking four semesters off to battle cancer. She overcame huge challenges to successfully complete her studies and obtain a first-class degree in nursing.

    Her determination continued after graduation. Amira excelled in the nursing exam, becoming the top candidate and earning national recognition for her outstanding performance.

    Reports indicate that Ameerah was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in March 2022 while studying at Lagos State University (LASU).

    Her sister Asante shared the happy news on her X page, posting a photo of Ameerah winning the award to celebrate her achievement.

    Ameerah’s journey of persistence and success has become a source of motivation for students and the medical community.
