    • PDP Chief Dan Ulasi said his “national trust” and strong youth support would give any party a “huge election boost” if Peter Obi returns by 2027.
    • He believes that any platform with OBI can get “30% to 40% of the vote” before the campaign.
    • Ulasi urged the PDP to go fairly to the southeastern ticket, adding that Obi’s participation will quickly track the party’s reconstruction process.

Dan Ulasi, chief of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), said former Labor presidential candidate Peter Obi will return ahead of the 2027 poll, which will give any political platform a “huge election boost.”

Ulasi“described him as “a reliable figure whose support base remains one of the strongest figures in the country. ”

He argued that Obi’s comeback PDP will “Risk the party’s opportunity now” In 2027, he noted that former Governor Anambra enjoyed “national trust, which is rare in Nigeria’s current political climate.” Ulasi added: “Any platform that embraces him almost guarantees 30 to 40% of the vote even before the campaign begins.”

He stressed that Obi’s “clean reputation remains a major selling point” “Young Nigerians and professionals” Can help transform PDP images.

Regarding the partition, Ulasi acknowledged that the PDP had agreed to transfer its ticket area to the south, but insisted that it should be “The micro-division is divided into the southeast, which remains the only region since Nigeria returns to democracy to date without a president.. ”

He said: “This move is not only to just strengthen the party’s appeal in the southeast, where the feeling of political exclusion is still strong.”

Ulasi also revealed that the PDP is recovering from its 2023 division, saying a recent meeting with the governor shows that the unification is returning. “The PDP is determined to rebuild the trust of Nigerians by manifesting as a more disciplined and credible opposition. Obi’s participation (if it happens) will quickly track this reconstruction process,” he said. He said.

He concluded: “The coming months will be crucial to determine whether Obi will return to PDP or choose another political avenue by 2027.”
