Officials and Butts involved in IKEDC Invasion @Ult Will Be Approved - NAF

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) announced an investigation into the invasion at the headquarters of IKEDC.

On Thursday, March 6, Air Force officers attacked the Electric Power Company’s office in response to the disconnection of power from the Sam Ethnan Air Force Base in Ikeja, Lagos.

According to Kingsley Okotie, a spokesman for IKEDC, the personnel destroyed the office, beat employees, and took away several company assets. Resolving the incident at a press conference, Adeniran Ademuwagun, Air Officers (AOC) Logistics Command condemned the bill and promised disciplinary action would be taken.

“We will investigate what happened and impose appropriate sanctions. The Nigerian Air Force attaches great importance to the safety of citizens and Ikeja Electric should continue to provide services without fear of harassment,” Ademuwagan said.

He described the invasion as unfortunate and apologized to the management of Ikeja Electric, reaffirming the Air Force’s commitment to professionalism and discipline.

“The dialogue with Ikeja Electric is fruitful and we will continue to work to ensure that our men maintain active control,” he added. “The Nigerian Air Force is a disciplined force and no action that undermines our integrity will be tolerated.”

Ikeja Electric Chairman Kola Adesina details the extent of damage caused by the invasion.

At the time of the incident, about 200 staff members were on site. The report confirmed that 10 people were burned and several office assets were destroyed or deleted. “It was a terrible experience for our employees, and it greatly disrupted our operations. We thank the Air Force leaders for responding quickly and we believe that we will serve justice. ”

The incident caused anger, demanding responsibility and measures to prevent recurrence.
