A fuel tanker exploded at the AA Rano flight station in Kontagora Hanunun Riga at the ISA headquarters of the Niger State Local Government.
The gas station is located several meters from the “B” Division at the Nigerian Police Station.
Sources said the incident occurred at the discharge of the Advanced Automotive Spirit (PMS) (PMS) (PMS) from the tanker at around 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 23, 2025.
Witnesses told Daily Trust over the phone that the fire began during the unloading process and other fuel tanks at the station still contained fuel, raising concerns about possible escalation.
“Firefighters are currently doing their best to control the fire, although the situation remains tense as the fire continues to spread.”
He said no casualties were recorded, adding that people, including passers-by, fled their lives.
