    Ondo Amotekun rescues two kidnappers severely b3aten's children

    Ondo State commander of the Western Nigeria Security Network number Amotekun Corps rescued a two-year-old child severely b3aten by the kidnapper.

    Ondo Amotekun commander Akogun Adetunji Adeleye disclosed this while raising 20 lists of crimes listed in 18 local government areas of the state.

    The march in Akur on Monday, February 10, 2025 was attended by the press and other prominent figures.

    The arrested included suspicious kidnappers, rapists and thieves.

    The security chief Chongda had a recent breakthrough, telling how Amotkun Absolutely rescued the minor and four other kidnapped victims five days after searching deep in the forest.

    “There was an injured two-year-old among the rescued people and the kidnapper suffered a severe beating. We thank God, we arrived in time. The last five victims were with us and we were able to bring them out safely.” He said.

    Adeleye also influx of unknown individuals into the state, especially in borders and forest areas.

    According to him, this disturbing situation has led to an increase in criminal activity, including robbery and kidnapping.

    He explained that among the arrested suspects, 14 were arrested for violating public peace.

    “The agency has no record of law enforcement cases involving land and chief affairs, union crisis or student affairs,” he said.

    “However, one suspect was linked to a clash against the plundering of farmers, and three suspects were arrested for kidnapping.

    “In addition, three suspects were detained for rape.”

    The march included: Alimi and Eze (kidnapping); Isa Bagudu and Suleja (rape); Uchenna (attempted murder); Yinusa (life threatening and public nuisance); Bello, Rabiu and Yusawu (owning crime-related items); Chukwu, Festus and Abayomi (theft of vehicles, jacks and motorcycles); Abdullahi (stealing iron rods); promise, Isaac and bolu (breaking and entering); Haruna and Yaya (malicious injury and cable theft ).

    Adeleye revealed that the investigation of 12 suspects has concluded that they will face trial soon.

    He added that further trials are underway for the remaining eight to reveal details about their accomplices.

    He said, “About the recent kidnappings in northern Akur, especially near the Auckjog Airport axis, the Amotkun Legion acted quickly, within an hour of receiving the intelligence. Blocked all exit routes.

    “Two people were kidnapped in Oke-oge and three were kidnapped in OBA ILE. Efforts to track down the perpetrators and rescue the victims are underway.”

    To prevent further attacks in these areas, security agencies have announced plans to establish permanent camps near affected locations.

    He added: “Control positions that are expected to start operating in the coming days will become deterrent for criminals and increase the response time for the Legion.”

    Reaffirming the agency’s commitment, Commander Amotekun assured the public that Amotekun will continue to work in concert with police, DSS, civil defense, Nigerian military and local alert groups to ensure peace and security throughout the state.
