One apple a day keeps the doctor away (see reason)

    Health Benefits

Apple is associated with many benefits that help promote long-term health.

    Highly nutritious

Apples are filled with important nutrients including fiber, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

    Supports heart health

Studies have shown that eating more apples may be associated with the risk of including a variety of chronic diseases.

In fact, a study conducted in more than 20,000 adults found that consuming higher amounts of green fruit fruits and vegetables, including apples, was associated with a lower risk of stroke.

This may be due to the presence of flavonoids found in apples, which have been shown to reduce inflammation and protect heart health.

Apples also pack soluble fiber, which may help lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels, both of which are risk factors for heart disease.

    Other health benefits

Apple is also associated with several other health benefits that may help keep doctors away:

    • Support weight loss. Thanks to its fiber content, apples have been shown to promote fullness, reduce calorie intake and increase weight loss.
    • Improve bone health. Human, animal and test tube studies have found that eating higher amounts of fruit may be associated with increased bone mineral density and a lower risk of osteoporosis.
    • Promote brain function. Animal studies show that eating apples can help reduce oxidative stress and prevent mental decline and signs of slow aging.
    • Prevent asthma. Studies have shown that an increase in apple intake may be associated with a lower risk of asthma.
    • Reduce the risk of diabetes. According to a large review, eating one apple a day diet is 28% lower than the risk of developing type 2 diabetes, without eating any apples at all.
