At least one person has already d! ed, after several people were hospitalized, a roller coaster transported members of the Catholic Knights to be involved in the accident.
The bus belonging to the Cross River State Nursing College of Ogoja crashed along the junction of Unizik temporary site in Anambra State Awka.
The accident injured Elliot Ushie Agana, 70, from Ogoja de@D, and 29 people.
It gathered with the Knights of the Catholic Church on a roller coaster ride, and the funeral of one of their members, Dr. Ezigbo Sunny, was held in the Ogoja of Abat River State, Abatete of Abatete, and Idemili North Council.
One of the survivors, Pastor Christian Ikere, explained that they noticed that the bus had brake problems leaving Ogoja for Anambra, and he made a deaf sound despite the driver’s request for driving work.
Mr Chidiebere Chukwu said a passenger from another roller coaster said one of the three roller coasters who had lost control of the transport member waved on the other vehicles to clear the road to avoid accidents.
However, when it reached the Unizik junction, it hit a commercial inter-city vehicle on the road, causing the accident.
The remains of the deceased have been deposited into the morgue, while 29 injured passengers are being treated at the Teaching Hospital of Chukwuemeka Odumeka Odumeka Ojukwu University in Amaku City, AWKA.
