A fatal accident involving Abia State in Umuahia involving a security agency nicknamed Operation Operation “Operation”, led to a military officer’s D3ATH.

Several other security personnel were injured in an accident on Sunday, March 30, 2025, on Bend Road, Umia Island.

According to witnesses, the vehicle carrying the operator deviated from the road and fell into deep ditches, apparently as the driver lost control while moving.

It is reported that three other safety personnel were missing when the rescue work continued at the crash site.

Six agents were rescued and taken to the Federal Medical Center (FMC) in Eumubia for emergency medical care, while an NSCDC official has been identified as D3AD.

Later found alive after the accident, a member of Operation Crush was declared missing.

Known for its narrow and challenging terrain, the road is part of the Federal Highway, which connects the state capital to Bende with Ohafia, Arochukukwu and other parts of the state.
