Oscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett announces plans to retire

Australian actor and film producer Cate Blanchett announced plans to retire from the show.

The two-time Academy Award-winning superstar is known for her supporting roles in the Pilot (2005) and Blue Jasmine (2014), and is one of Hollywood’s most important stars.

Cate, 55, admitted in an interview with the Radio Times that her tenure in the spotlight will not last forever because she has ambitions for many other life adventures.

She explained: “It’s because I gave up. [acting]. Whenever I say this, my family rolled their eyes, but I mean. I gave up on the performance very seriously. ”

Kate insists she “a lot of things I want to do”.

The Australian actress recently starred in The Seagull by Chekov in Barbican, London, and she didn’t give time for the entertainment industry.

But this is not the first time she threatens to resign, despite international acclaim.

The mother of four told Vanity Fair in 2023 that she often thought of getting rid of her acting job.

“It’s not occasionally – it’s constant. Of course, every day or weekly.

“This is a love affair, isn’t it? So you do fall into love and have to be drawn back into it.
