Comelo’s newcomer, Obama Abimelolawill be called his empire under je.

Naija News The report said this was learned in a statement issued on Tuesday, March 18, 2025.

Oba Owoade urges the public to strictly abide by the wording of formal titles.

Declare read: “This is to inform the public that the appropriate way of ALAAFIN for all activities and media is exactly the same as:

His empire majestic iku baba is Yeye or Abimbola Akeem, you are the Alaafin of that

“The number after Owoade is the Roman numeral one (i), not the English first (1).

“The public is prohibited from using the above wording strictly without having to add a prefix or suffix to any of the names described above.”

Meanwhile, Prince Lukman Gbadegesin, a contender for Oyo Stool, has filed a lawsuit in the Oyo State High Court, challenging the appointment of Prince Akeem Owoade as the new Alaafin.

Naija News The lawsuit filed a lawsuit on February 12, 2025, in an attempt to overturn Owoade’s appointment on the grounds of violating the chief laws of the 2000 Oyo State, and the 1961 Alaafin Chieftain declaration.

Gbadegesin argued through his attorney Kunle Sobaloju (San) that Oyo Governor Seyi Makinde’s recognition of Owoade’s appointment within five days was “illegal, unconstitutional, invalid, invalid, invalid and invalid”.

He argued that Oyomesi (King Manufacturer) had chosen him as a legitimate candidate and he asked the court to announce confirmation that his nomination was valid.

He claimed that Governor Makinde’s decision violated due process in several key areas.
