A 27-year-old pastor was bitten by a black man Hazelmere during Hazelmere’s prayer – Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa.
The incident occurred on Saturday morning, February 22, 2025, with the victim praying by the river
A public contacted the South African Response Department (RUSA) Action Centre at about 06:41 to request emergency medical assistance to the man.
Rusa caregivers were immediately dispatched and males were found behind the walls of Hazelmere dam in Hazelmere.
He said he was praying by the river when he was bitten by a big snake on his left foot.
The man insisted that it was a black mamba.
He showed some symptoms of neurotoxicity and extensive swelling at the bite site.
He walked a few meters from the river and sought assistance from the security personnel contacted by Rusa.
