- The family of Pete Edochie has contacted the DSS to arrest a TikTok user who falsely announced the death of Pete Edochie.
- His son, Leo Edochie, called the rumor false and offered a cash reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.

The family of veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has reportedly contacted the Department of State Services (DSS) seeking the arrest of a TikToker suspected of spreading false news online about the death of the actor.
It comes after a viral report claimed the screen legend had died, a claim that was quickly debunked by his family and management.
His eldest son, Leo Edochie, earlier responded to the rumor in a video shared on his Instagram page, calling it a complete rumour. He described the report as “a lie from hell”.
In a Facebook post on Thursday night, Leo revealed that he had reported the matter to security services and announced a cash reward for anyone who could provide information leading to the arrest of the TikToker.
Sharing a photo of the suspect, he wrote:
“This young man posted a video on TikTok saying that our father passed away. His account is @ONE_BOR 001.
“Anyone with information that leads to his arrest will be rewarded with a generous cash reward. I have contacted DSS and they are tracking him.”
“Private me with the information and you’ll get a cash reward once he’s arrested.”
