Atiku and Peter Obi reportedly joined the SDP before the 2027 presidential election.

Nigeria News Nalin It is reported that former presidential candidate Adewale Adebayo’s Social Democratic SDP revealed that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, his Labour rivals, Peter Obi, Peter Obi and famous politicians are in talks with the party.

Adebayo said representatives of Atiku and Obi were discussing defection to SDP.

He showed this on Sunday Politics Channel.

According to Adebayo, “People are joining my party and we welcome them.

“Our only minor problem is changing cultures, especially when they are not in an environment where rules are taken seriously.

“Some of them were involved in events and black market operations like Scouts, but we are dealing with it. However, we welcome them to the party.

“All of these people you mentioned; El-Rufai, Atiku Abubakar and even former governor Peter Obi are here. A lot of people are here and we will welcome them.

“We didn’t know until someone actually joined. But people have told me that the Secretary of the Exchequer (SDP) has also told me that they are talking. So we will welcome everyone.”

Adebayo urged intentional defectors to abide by the SDP culture, saying they can defeat and retire on joining the All Progress Conference (APC) and President Bola Tinubu.

He added: “If they can stick to our culture and follow the way we do things in the SDP and provide a great alternative for Nigerians, we will obviously beat APC and retired president Tinubu to Lagos or wherever he chose in Nigeria.”
