Labour presidential candidate Peter Obi visited Quadri Alabi on Friday, April 18, a little boy who turned viral in the election as he surfaced online in a photo standing in front of the Obi convoy.
In January, the 17-year-old was charged with robbery and filed a lawsuit in the Lagos District Court in Apapa. Police received orders at the Medium Security Hosting Center in Corgiri.
His case went to social media last week and publicly protested his release. He was released on April 17 after intervention by human rights lawyer Inibehe Effiong.
According to Effiong, Obi offered to assist Quadri with the necessary training and education he wanted.
