Labour’s 2023 presidential candidate Peter Obi expressed his hope to let the love and essence of Ramadan affect their behavior.

Naija News The report said the former governor of Anambra conveyed the message through his social media account on Sunday and congratulated the Muslim community in celebration of Eid-el-fitr.

Obi also prays for a new sense of security for life and property within the country, hoping that Nigeria will witness further growth and development.

“I sincerely join the Muslim believers in Nigeria to celebrate Eid-el-fitr in 2025, which marks the end of Ramadan.

“Our serious prayer is that Allah, Almighty, will accept our prayers, fasting and supplications.

“For me, breaking the fasting of Ramadan is really very satisfying to me, unlike the Muslim community across the country.

“Sharing our blessings and joys with each other is not only an act of Ramadan, but should form part of our daily lives.

“We pray that the blessings and lessons of Ramadan will remain forever and keep them with us – love will live in our hearts and peace and unity will flourish in our country.”

Obi added: “Again, I congratulate our Muslim brothers and sisters on completing Ramadan.

“May the blessing of Almighty Allah be with you and your family now. Eid.”
