Peter Obi’s 2027 ambition is unclear, LP has no structure – Kenneth Okonkwo

    • Former Labor Chief Kenneth Okonkwo expressed uncertainty about Peter Obi’s ambitions for 2027, believing that Labor “has no structure at all.”
    • He noted that despite Obi’s support for the African Democratic Congress (ADC), he has not announced the platform, adding that Obi’s position on key national issues and 2027 is still unclear.

Opposition coalition member and former Labor chief Kenneth Okonkwo expressed doubts about Peter Obi’s political guidance ahead of the 2027 election.

“Labor has no structure at all. In 2023, we have our structure in Labour, and so far we have no structure again. Even the state leadership is a problem. INEC can’t absolutely tell you who they are, and who they can.”

He noted that Obi expressed support for the African Democratic Congress (ADC), but has not announced whether he will run on its platform. “You asked me if I think Peter Obi would run under Labor and he told you he supports the ADC, but he didn’t tell me the party he would go on. I don’t know the answer to this question.”

Okonkwo stressed that he couldn’t speak for Obi, saying, “I won’t speak for a position I don’t understand about his position on important national issues. Now, I don’t understand that he has no position in 2027, so it’s still a mystery that he’ll let him lose himself.”
