The former vice president of Atiku Abubakar criticized the nation’s ongoing insecurity, Bola Tinubu, who described the government’s safe buildings as a failure.
Atiku condemned the recent attacks in the community in the Bokos local government area of the Plateau State, noting that such violence has become a disturbing national trend.
In an article on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Atiku expressed concern that the country is insensitive to reports of frequent mass killings.
“The failure of Bola Tinubu’s security architecture has now become a popular phenomenon across the country, with repeated killings and more not even making headlines,” he wrote.
“Now, with Nigerians being forced to get used to the news of this wanton killing, I once again express my condolences to the bereavement communities in the Bokkos local government in the Plateau State and the affected families.”
Atiku called on the federal government to urgently overhaul its security framework to effectively protect citizens and protect property.
He added: “I hope to reaffirm my attorney to the federal government led by Tinubu to reconfigure its security architecture to meet the needs of protecting the lives and property of our people.”
